The Permacultourism Initiative, a project of Woven Earth Foundation, is a regenerative-tourism movement adhering to the ethics of Permaculture: Earth Care, People Care, Fair Share. We provide opportunities of exploring the world while learning the art of Permaculture design and building community through service. Our “hands-on” Permaculture Courses are designed to empower and inspire local-communities through education, skill-share, and regenerative design. The participants of Permacultourism adventures gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to bring these life-abundance giving practices home with them to impact their own communities.
If you go anywhere in the world that has attractive allure, it is nearly impossible to ignore the destructive impact that tourism has left. The goal of much Eco-tourism operations has been to be “sustainable” or to “leave no trace”. But the trace has already been left, and global consumer development continues to deplete the health of communities and ecosystems. Our goal is to facilitate travel experiences that are not only sustainable, but are regenerative in nature. We believe that the root of a thriving, healthy planet are thriving, healthy communities and people, starting with ourselves.
